ABOUT IBN

A South Philadelphia native, Ibn began his training in tap at the age of 4 at D’Shay School of Dance. His training began extensively in high school as a dance major at The Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts. During high school, Ibn joined Eleone Connections as a freshman in 2007 and was promoted to the first company, Eleone Dance Theatre at the age of 17 in 2011. Prior to earning a full scholarship at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, he earned additional training at The Ailey School as a scholarship student for consecutive summers where he performed works by Alonzo King and Troy Powell. Ibn has traveled internationally to Kigali, Rwanda as a guest artist with Rebecca Davis Dance Company and performed in Tokyo, Japan with international pop star Koichi Domoto. Upon graduating

from University of the Arts, Ibn developed, Ballet Dynamiks. A pre-professional ballet company based in Philadelphia, in efforts to develop the next generation of dancer’s technically and artistically. He now serves as the Resident Choreographer and Rehearsal Director for Chocolate Ballerina Company.
